Tech Exchange is proud to announce its partnership with Solano County to introduce Solano Connected, an initiative aimed at bridging the digital divide in the region. Committed to ensuring that every family in Solano County has access to computers, internet connectivity, and essential technology skills, Tech Exchange, through the Solano Connected program, strives to empower residents and foster a digitally inclusive community. Together with Solano County, we envision a future where all individuals can confidently navigate online education, employment opportunities, health resources, financial services, and civic engagement, creating a digitally proficient and connected Solano County for everyone to thrive in the digital age.
Issues we are addressing
Solano County has 60,760 eligible households to receive low cost internet and only 14,240 are enrolled.
About 2 million residents, don’t have access to high speed internet
70% of high school teachers assign homework requiring online connectivity
92% of jobs now require digital skills
